Temple Guardian

The Temple Guardian/Mid-Boss in Deadlock is a large green worm/alien looking objective that can be defeated to give your team some potential game swinging perks.

It spawns at 10 minutes into a match, and then respawns 7 minutes after it has been defeated.

The Temple Guardian can be found right in the middle of the map, and has very high HP (100,000 including its regenerative shield).

It also does damage of 500 per second to heroes who try to fight it, which is counted as Bullet Damage, so it’s not advisable to try and fight it before you have purchased some kind of life steal items.

In order to do any damage at all to it’s HP, your DPS must be over 500 per second, because that is the strength of its regenerative shield (shown as a yellow bar next to its green HP).

Once you have reduced it’s health to half HP it will let out a loud roar which can be heard across the entire map, so the enemy team will be aware what you are doing at this point.

The optimal time to fight the Temple Guardian is when all (or at least most) of the enemy team are dead. It’s very risky to try otherwise, because they could come in and kill you and/or steal the Rejuvenation Crystal after you have defeated the boss.

To avoid the Rejuvenation Crystal being stolen, you can try to have one team mate stand where the crystal will drop and parry at the exact right time so as to stun an enemy who is trying to melee. Equally, if you want to steal the Crystal, you can jump in and parry to stun the enemy team members and then take it for yourself.

Once you have successfully defeated the Temple Guardian, a Rejuvenation Crystal will begin falling from the sky and land approximately 7 seconds after its death. The crystal must be destroyed by a melee attack and gives a Rejuventation Token to all members of your team, and buffs Troopers for 3 minutes.

The token allows you to respawn in half the time it would usually take, one time. And during the 3 minutes your Troopers will also gain 50% HP.
